Department of Justice: Do your Diligence!

Some silly Mexican woman has decided to hide out in a west side Church here in Chicago...again. This lady, Flor Crisostomo, is a criminal. She has used false documents to get into this country, to get a job, and has broken all the immigration laws of this nation.

Now, she is taking a cue from Elvira Arrellano (the criminal who was finally deported last year) and is seeking "sanctuary" in the Adalberto United Methodist Church in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago's west side.

She should and must be deported. And the sooner the better.

The Department of Justice, and Immigration and Naturalization should/must move into that facility IMMEDIATELY and remove this lady from the premises.

In addition, the Department of Justice should levy a very heavy fine against this local congregation, and this group should lose their TAX EXEMPT status for a long, long time--if they go along with this charade again.

The laws of this nation must mean something...and must be enforced.

And it must start now!

I am waiting for the punchline to all of this.

If you are dead serious about this post then I am more than confused. If the Methodist follow the same Bible as I do, then they were trying to up the laws of hospitality.

I don't know about anybody else but I think they were pretty scared of what could happen to them even a tenth of what happened in Sodom and Gomorrah if that church refused hospitality to a stranger of this land.

Yeah, we need to get the DOJ on this post-haste, because we all know that what America needs right now is to get rid of someone that wants to actually work in this country...all while wasting tax-payer dollars.

I say the real crime being committed is the lazy Americans who don't want to work. Let's deport them to Mexico, and give their citizenship to those that do want to work!

God Bless America!

BTW dood, we are all immigrants. Also, doesn't say in the Bible to love a stranger that is new to your land, as if he was one of your own?

Stew on that while I pull the bus around.

We are told to obey the laws of the land as well...In the NEW TESTAMENT.

Our laws (which are not oppressive) are meant to be obeyed.

All of the undocumenteds/illegals can follow the system and come here legally.

They will then be welcomed with open arms.

Sorry, guys, I'm with Phil on this one. This country is made of immigrants that took advantage of the country's Judeo-Christian laws of hospitality... legally and properly.

The country hasn't handled the issue well for years, but that doesn't make Ms. Cristostomo right. And for the church... imagine if your church was supporting someone who blatantly committed tax evasion, or fraud, or extortion. Wouldn't you worry about what principles your church is promoting?

There has always been a legal, albeit challenging pathway, that many have taken. This lady chose the easy way out.

Your lack of fear is amazing and stunning at best. So you are not at all scared what God will do to America when we stop being hospitable to those strangers.

Please do you research on why Sodom and Gomorrah judged and executed by God.

I also find it convenient for you to hang your hat on the law when it is convenient for you and when it serves your purpose. Yet I know tens of millions of Chinese who worship my God at the risk of imprisonment or death.

But then you are going offer the counterpoint that worshiping our Lord supercedes the laws of man. Yet, at the same time, the same One True God made it very clear:

Leviticus 19:34 The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

What I really find truly fascinating is that your zealousness for man's law would go as far as suggesting to punish Christians who offered sanctuary to the poor in, I guess, a futile attempt to exhibit the heart of our Father.

Tell me something: how does your opinion shows the heart of the Father? How does your stance totally negates the purpose of the ministry of Jesus Christ while He was on earth: to teach us the love of God for us.

Please do not tell us that the only argument you have is the law of man to the letter.

First of all JOE,

The laws of this land are not oppressive. Chinese law and American law are MILES/UNIVERSES apart.

Second, I live on THIS side of the Cross--not the other one. I respect and believe the Old Testament laws concerning hospitality...but I also believe in obeying the laws of the land...which are mandated in the New Testament. Nothing about our immigration laws forbids anyone to worship as they please, or not worship at all, if they please.

We are allowing a generation (or several generations, actually) to just willy-nilly disregard the laws of this law, and know that we will do NOTHING about their criminal acts.

This person is not an activist. She is a criminal and a fugitive. She needs to be deported, and the sooner the better.

So, for all the "Super Spiritual" ones here:

Just what SHOULD be done?

If this person wants to be part of this nation...LET HER DO IT LEGALLY....

Simply because she has the "brass" and the sympathy of a bunch of lily-livered folks who have ZERO regard for our laws, does not mean that she should be able to THUMB her nose at the rule of law in the United States.

Deport her, and do it now!

Yes, we are all immigrants, but like my great-grandfather (4 times removed) we came in legally. In fact we had to have a sponsor who would support us financially so that we would be no drain on the country.

I understand the desire to get into this country with our freedoms. But it is the law that guarantees our freedoms. And breaking them demeans freedom.

The Bible declares that we are to obey God rather than men. Peter's example shows us that when man's laws would force us to be disobedient to God's, we ought to obey God rather than men. BUT, if the state says we have disobeyed the laws and convicts us, we have to do the time or pay the fine. They shouldn't get a free pass.

Brethren,

Don't think for one nanosecond that this person has any interest whatsoever in becoming a citizen of the United States.

She has already broken our laws--more than once. She sends money back to Mexico to her three children all the time. If she wanted a better life for herself and her children, why aren't those children here in the USA with her?

Deport her...and do it now!
