Rush Limbaugh: SHUT UP!

We have heard (endured) your rantings/ravings/blatherings for years, ad nauseum. You have brought NOTHING of significance (not to speak of intelligence) to the "national conversation." You are an embarrassment to most of us thinking Americans.

Your desire to see President Obama "fail" testifies to your insanity. Of course some points, i.e., your insanity, needs no further proof than your loudmouthing off on the airwaves every day.

If you don't like the duly-elected leaders of this country, then by all means immigrate! I'm sure there are plenty of other "FREE" countries who would tolerate your insipid stupidity without blinking an eye.

Just shut up! Stop popping your pain pills, and get a real job for a change!

Phil,

I don't think you consider yourself a republican (considering how you fawn over Obama)... so why concern yourself with it?

And if the vast majority of Americans like Obama and what he's doing, why are the markets tanking every time he gives a press conference and why is Rush getting ovations?

Hmmm.

Me? I'm going out and getting myself a "Rush is Right" sticker for my car.

There is an estimated 300 Million Americans....and unless 150+ Million of these Americans "enjoy" him...it is not a vast majority...

But then again, you will swallow any koolaid this drug-addicted blowhard serves, right?

Phil, you do seem a little harsh. Perhaps you are intentionally modeling Rush's style, but it doesn't fit you well. I am not a fan of Rush. I think he is hurting the conservative movement by being polemic and I find his bombastic style personally offensive. On the other hand it is very American to voice opposition to elected officials. To say "I hope the President fails to lead the country in a liberal direction" is appropriate from the mouth of any conservative. I would never question his intelligence, just his appropriation of it.

Phil,

I don't know you, but I have to say that President Obama's decision to go after Rush Limbaugh was not one of the brainiest moves a president ever made. I don't want President Obama to succeed in socializing America. President Obama has spent more money in the first 30 days than the entire cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Scary. P.S. Rush challenged president Obmam to a debate on the radio. If Rush is such a push over, perhaps Obama should destroy him once and for all. I would even go so far as to say that President Obama hopes that Rush will fail in his endeavor to get Obama out in the open.

Limbaugh didn't win a national election. He has ZERO foreign policy ability or power....He is nothing more than a drug-addicted loudmouth who doesn't like anything other than the sound of his own voice.

President Obama is not trying to "socialize" this country--but after eight years of the Bush-Cheney debaucle, we would welcome just about anything constructive.

We are spending money that MUST be spent on the infrastructure and economy of this nation.

Best I can remember GEORGE BUSH and company spent like there is no tomorrow, like money grows on trees and everything in sight was a Maple Tree....

Give President Obama a couple of years...it will take that long to rectify the neglect and assininity of the Bush-Cheney regime.

phil, I'm hovering somewhere between conservative and liberal these days. i won't throw either party under the bus, anyway. That said, when I heard last night on the national news "Rush Limbaugh is the voice of the Republican party" it rather ticked me off. When I'm at my most conservative, he doesn't even begin to speak for me. I'll be sure glad when this subject of rhetoric and grandstanding(from both parties) plays out. ICK.

It's pretty typical of the left to try and marginalize opposing voices and squelch free speech that does not line up with the left's agenda. As for drug addiction, Obama has admitted to his use of elicit drugs. At the worst, Limbaugh's addiction to pain pills (prescription) were the result of a back injury whereas Obama was just interested in getting wasted. Nice hypocrisy Phil.

Phil,
Obama's goal is the destruction of the American economy as a capitalist system and the surplaning of Socialism which is simply communism without a spine.
Since Obama is trying to destroy our economy, I too want him to fail.

Phil Hoover said...

President Obama's goal is not the destruction of the American economy---it has already self-destructed--in case you didn't notice.

NO one in their right mind wants the President to fail in his leadership of this country.

Limbaugh is poor excuse for a thinking person. And those who swallow his every word need to start thinking for themselves.

I was with a group of men (about 75 altogether) this morning at church, and very few of us think Limbaugh has any integrity or credibility.

Yep, we are all Bible-believing, God-fear, patriotic people too.

You complain about Rush's "ramblings," but then you say

"We have heard (endured) your rantings/ravings/blatherings for years, ad nauseum. You have brought NOTHING of significance (not to speak of intelligence) to the "national conversation." You are an embarrassment to most of us thinking Americans."

and

"Just shut up! Stop popping your pain pills, and get a real job for a change!"

Change. Why does everyone say they are for change but rarely do change?

Phil Hoover said...

Loudmouth Limbaugh needs to do something productive and constructive--that will certainly be a "change" for him.

Phil, Rush doesn't need to move to another country just because he doesn't care for the current President, becuase he loves this country intrinsically.

Rush has repeatedly said it is Obama's policies he wants to fail - he doesn't think they are in this nation's best interests.

In contrast, did you not want the 'Bush/Cheney regime's' policies to fail?

Grace and peace.

Phil Hoover said...

Actually Matt,

I didn't want to see the Bush-Cheney policies fail...but some of their policies were DOOMED before they were ever codified, i.e, the lack of troop strength in Iraq when we invaded...it was doomed before it ever happened...and the experts (Powell, Shinsecki) as much as told Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld they were setting the nation up for failure...but alas, the trio didn't listen.

Limbaugh needs to take a break. A very long break.

Yeah! There's fiery Phil! Welcome back!

Seriously, although I would consider myself a lukewarm Republican, and did not vote for Obama (neither did Phil, according to his blog, people) there's no way on earth I like the idea of Rush being the voice of the Republicans.

He's a radio guy, and a political version of a shock jock at that. To his type, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

I'm a little nervous about a few of Obama's policies, but let's not root for failure. If you can judge a tree by its fruit, then how ought we judge such divisive and vicious statements by Rush? Does this country actually need more policies to fail and do damage to its people? I would say this isn't a good time for failure.

Phil Hoover said...

Ah, my friend Joe...the voice of reason...and yes, I voted for John McCain/Sarah Palin...but I'm hoping the President's policies work--for the good of this nation.

The failed policies of Bush-Cheney, which the most self-righteous of the GOP must admit have failed--need to be reversed.

I'm a bit leery of some of President Obama's policies...but then again, we need to try something more than the failed past.

Please enumerate the failed economic policies of the Bush administration. Thanks.

Thank you Mr.thecitizencane. Phil, after you do this, then please spell out Mr. Obama's plan for "cleaning up" the "DOOMED" policies. I have read your whole column, and Phil, so far I have only seen that you are the one who is exibiting the attributes that you credit Rush Limbaugh with. Do me a favor and go back to the top of this blog and read what you have written.

"We have heard (endured) your rantings/ravings/blatherings for years, ad nauseum. You have brought NOTHING of significance (not to speak of intelligence) to the "national conversation." You are an embarrassment to most of us thinking Americans."

Tell me...who is doing the ranting and raving? I must tell you Phil..I have loved you for at least 35 years.. probably more than anyone else who is still alive...but on this subject..you sound ..unhinged..

I challenge you, please Phil..get a copy of Rush's speach to the convention and really listen to what he had to say. Challenge yourself to listen without preconceived prejudice, and then come back and discuss the subject without all the.. ""Just shut up! Stop popping your pain pills, and get a real job for a change!""... blathering you accused him of..by the way...did you know that Rush can buy and sell Mr. Obama? And that is a fact! So much for Rush getting a real job, also see if you can find out how many jobs Rush provides for how many people and then tell me please how many jobs Mr.Obama has personally provided to how many people..not counting ACORN...you and I pay their salaries..When you can hold an intelligent conversation on this subject, I personally will be glad to hear it...I do love you, you know...Elizabeth
